Allow Replace or Append as default Address Book Search setting.
Maximizer returns to the default Address Book Search setting (Replace current list) on startup.
After my first search it retains my choice but returns to the default next time it starts up.
It should allow me to either select my preferred default (Append) or pick up the preferance from my last use of Maximizer.12 votes -

Support "Friendly" Company Names
In many scenarios, a Company will have a formal name (International Business Machines) and a colloquial name (IBM). We should have a facility that allows me to record both values in the Company record. When performing a Company search, it should incorporate both the existing "Company" field, and the new "friendly" field. That way, I can search for either "International Business Machines" or "IBM" and be taken to the same record.

Hide Inactive Contacts
Instead of deleting a Contact from the database outright, the user should be able to flag a Contact as "hidden". This allows the Contact's historical information to be retained without cluttering the active Contact list. A "Show Hidden Contacts" checkbox could be added similar to the "Show Hidden Fields" checkbox has been added to the UDF tab.
154 votesYou can create a custom field (UDF) and then set it to True or False. Then using Advanced Search you can filter whether to show entries based on this custom field (UDF).

Separate "automatic" Notes from "manual" Notes.
The new date range filters on the Notes tab are great. However, I would like to see system-generated Notes placed on a separate tab. These Notes are great as a historical reference, but generally don't add much value in day-to-day usage. User-generated Notes (Manual, Email, Phone, etc) frequently contain relevant information users need to access and should be accessible from a separate location than the generic "audit trail" Notes.

Ability to access alternate email address if contact has multiple emails
If a client has more than one email address the only way to use the alternate email is to open the contact window and then cut and paste the alternate email address.

Linking Documents between the Address Book and Opportunities
Right now, documents created in the Address Book is not visible in Opportunities (of the same company) and vice versa. Would like the 2 to be linked please.

Better favorite lists management
Please make it easier to manage large customer lists for sending email marketing campaigns - add/edit/remove from lists.
- Have the actual data content of the favorite list display in its own window (or following window) - whenever new customer records are added or removed, the favorite list will reflect the updates right away.
- Enable drag and drop from the main window into the 'favorite list window' and vice versa for adding/removing entries
- Be able to easily tell which favorite lists that each customer belongs to
