MaxMobile Support for BlackBerry Z10 & Q10 vs Maximizer Mobile Access
In testing Maximizer CRM 12 Summer 2013 CTP, I asked if there was support for BlackBerry OS 10 (https://getsatisfaction.com/maximizerctp/topics/maxmobile_for_blackberry_os_10).
The answer back was that support for BB OS10 was not planned and the suggestion made was to use Maximizer Mobile Access instead.
In order to completely replace MaxMobile for the BlackBerry, there are at least three very deficient areas in Maximizer Mobile Access that must be improved:
- You can only see 1.5 client records at a time after a search for clients with a small screen like a BlackBerry. MaxMobile gives 5 or 6 client records on each screen after a search on a Bold 9900.
- Unlike MaxMobile for the BlackBerry, there are no alarms with Mobile Access.
- MaxMobile for the BlackBerry has a graphical calendar, Maximizer Mobile Access gives you a long list. With MaxMobile's graphical calendar, you can easily see appts. for a week on a BB 9900, and, if necessary, click on an appt. to see who it is with.
I am sure that there are others, but as these are apparently not planned for Maximizer Mobile Access, I was asked to post them in suggestions!
Thanks very much,
John

For me the answer is a local Mobile app that is available on BB, iOS and Android. I have requested this on several occasions. You can find my suggestion here: http://bit.ly/15JGfwl
In the original request I never included Blackberry because they already had an app but I hope that they include an update for BB10. They took a good stab at the Mobile Access but unless they design it with HTML5 it is way too cumbersome. And then there are locations our Sales Reps travel to where cell coverage is spotty. A local app would solve a lot.

Maximizer Mobile Access does not integrate into the BB menus the way MaxMobile does. For example, this allows you to save an email directly from the BB messages and perform similar functions outside of the main maximizer application and in only the context of the phone applications. It also does not integrate with calls events and mesaging events to help automate note creation.
This level of integration with the phone is what makes MaxMobile so great, Can anything be done to try to achieve this across all phone platforms within Maximizer Mobile Access? I think maybe we need something like the web-outlook addin- a phone specific integration you download that enables these features in the phone but in the back-end is really talking directly to the Maximizer Webservice on the server. This approach would minimise the phone specific code needed while maximizing the overall functionallity.

Another major issue with Maximizer Mobile Access has to do with UDF's. I posted a suggestions about this last year: Maximizer Mobile Access UDF's - folders not available and UDF's do not follow the order set in Maximizer CRM Administrator - http://suggestions.maximizer.com/forums/123601-feature-suggestions-for-maximizer-crm/suggestions/2496497-maximizer-mobile-access-udf-s-folders-not-availa
I hope MSI puts these improvements on the front burner!
